  • NIRPHAD's Objective
    The vision and mission strategy of NIRPHAD have emphasized empowerment of women through financial independence, which is crucial for them to be involved in the problem solving and decision making process of the family and community. Since training avenues are scarce the women often become helpless, apathetic and do not have control of their lives. Further their status was very low and they were many times subjected to domestic violence. When a women has hard currency in her hand, her confidence level increase and she can use this as a lever for bargaining her power in the family and social milieu, which also includes controlling her sexuality.

  • Our Efforts
    NIRPHAD attempts to correct the situation by providing training to women and also helping them establish a small  business. NIRPHAD  provides vocational training for

  • Sewing

  • Hand Printing

  • Stone Carving

  • Carpet Weaving

The first skill enabled women to save money NIRPHAD enables the unemployed to set up small businesses, by  assisting them to  get loans and proper training for their prospective line of vocation. Financial assistance to buy cattle, seeds, and buffalo carts is also arranged for by us.

NIRPHAD accomplished over the last year

 NIRPHAD has achieved training and a better livelihood to :

  • 1475 Women in Sewing

  • 156 Women in Hand printing

  • 44 Women in Stone Carving

  • 290 Women in Carpet Weaving

  • 156 Women in House hold tasks

The above figures indicate cumulative results both at Chattikara and at the Bajna. The produce manufactured by these women is sold in nearby small towns. It helps them earn a small sum for their hard-work and  does a world of good to their self esteem. These women, who depended on their men-folk for everything ,can now stand on their two feet and claim their share of the sun.

We Need Assistance

NIRPHAD is eager to enable people to become self reliant and  part of the national mainstream of development. Plans for the future are ambitious- though we doubt how we will able to realize them without assured funds. Paucity of  funds has curtailed many plans in the past and have seriously hampered our progress. We call for your assistance to help further our plans for the rural poor and backward in India.
We hope that assured funds will be available. We request your assistance to continue with our future plans so that the women in the rural and backward areas may have an opportunity to improve the quality of their lives.
