  • The Objective
NIRPHAD defines its objective as making villages self reliant and free from exploitation. We attempt at developing the individual through imparting the skill sets and facilitating the resources to help them stand on their feet.

  • We do this through
Organizing Self Help Groups for Women's development
Arranging bank loans to help small business development for unemployed youth and  the rural poor.
Imparting vocational training  to impart the skill sets required to support income generation.
Educating judicious use of available resources for better utilization.

  • Self Help Groups
Self Help groups are an extension of the concept of Mahila Mandals or Women workgroups. An endeavor conceptualized by the government of India, these groups attempt to empower the women at the grassroots and build them into a strong and powerful organization.

  • We, at NIRPHAD attempt to aid this endeavor through SHGs-these groups aim to emancipate women burdened by debt from the clutches of the greedy village money lenders. The  money lenders charge compound interest and have caused many a household to collapse and families destroyed. We also attempt to check the situation by initiating a credit mechanism at the grass roots with minimum complexities, efficient delivery and prompt loan recovery.

  • NIRPHAD tries to reach the women to educate them in the rudiments of community health care and hygiene, child care, contraceptive methods and STD /AIDS awareness.
We encourage them to share their knowledge, with others in their family and the  community.

  • Income generation schemes are an absolute must to fuel the growth and survival of the concept of SHGs. Vocational training centers train and develop skill sets needed to initiate and operate a business.

  • NIRPHAD  provides skill training. This is to help them utilize their talent and time and contribute positively to the family earning. This training also does a world of good to her self esteem and also changes the way the community looks at the role of a woman.

  • NIRPHAD also shares knowledge on  cattle rearing, poultry farming, animal husbandry, animal health care, soil care, proper and efficient use of fertilizers, and water harvesting techniques, to help educate villagers about maximizing  agriculture yield and marketing and to enable better utilization of resources and implements.

We need your help

We, NIRPHAD  have done reasonably well over the years and we want to persevere with our efforts. We are keen to bring smiles to the faces of all those who have seen nothing but suffering and pain all their  life. We have been forced to stall many of our ambitions due to a severe lack of funds.  We  need you and all the assistance you can provide, in your individual capacity as also a part of the community you belong to. Help us help India’s poor.
